Marquise and round accents alternate down both shoulders, each one held in a single shared claw with a clear gap of polished metal between it and the next. The stones are spaced rather than packed, so the band reads as a row of individual points of light instead of a continuous line.

Under the centre stone a row of tiny accents runs around the basket. It is invisible from above and only appears when the ring is tilted.

How it compares

Our scalloped pave emerald packs many small stones into a continuous row. This one uses fewer, larger accents and deliberately leaves metal between them. At arm's length the pave version reads as a bright line, this one as separate sparks.

Wearing and stacking

The accents sit slightly proud of the band, so a flat wedding band will touch them. A curved band that follows the outline of the shoulders sits better and protects the marquise points.

Made to order in Surat, India

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat. Shared claw setting means one claw holds two stones, so the spacing has to be exact before any seat is cut. The marquise points are set toward the centre of the band, where they are least exposed. Every ring is made after you order, usually within 14 to 18 working days.

Care

Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Brush around each accent individually and then tilt the ring to reach the hidden halo. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.

Around fourteen on the shoulders plus roughly twenty four in the hidden halo.

Are shared claws secure
Yes, and they use less metal than individual claws, which is why the stones look larger. We check every claw again after final polishing.

Can this ring be resized
By about half a size. The accent run continues a long way down the shoulders.

Is moissanite hard enough for daily wear
Yes. Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond among stones used in jewellery.
