A long emerald cut moissanite is held in four fine prongs on a knife edge band, and at each shoulder a small cluster of stones sits scattered rather than lined up. One marquise cut points outward along the shank, with two round accents tucked beside it, so the shoulders look sprinkled instead of paved. Under the basket a further pair of tiny rounds catches light from the side. The whole ring is deliberately light, so nothing competes with the wide open table of the centre stone.

Setting and band

Four claw prongs grip the corners of the emerald cut and lift it above a low open basket. Each shoulder carries a marquise cut moissanite pointing away from the centre with two round accents set beside it, and two more rounds sit under the crown on each side. The shank is a slim knife edge, roughly one point eight millimetres wide, tapering slightly as it meets the head. Metal is solid throughout with a polished interior.

Metal options

Choose from recycled 925 sterling silver, or solid 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. Yellow gold gives the warm, sunlit look shown in the photographs. Rose gold softens the accents. White gold and sterling silver keep the ring cool and make the colorless centre stone look as icy as possible. White gold is rhodium finished.

Care

Clean with warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush, paying attention to the underside of the centre stone. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth. Remove the ring before swimming, gardening or lifting weights.

Does a thin band make an emerald cut look bigger? Yes. A slim shank gives the eye less metal to compare the stone against, so a 2 carat emerald cut on a one point eight millimetre band looks noticeably larger than the same stone on a three millimetre band.

Are the accent stones moissanite as well? Yes. The marquise and round accents are colorless moissanite, matched to the centre stone so the whiteness is consistent across the ring.

How does moissanite compare with diamond for everyday wear? Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs hardness scale against 10 for diamond. In practice that means it resists scratching from everyday contact just as well, and it is tougher than sapphire, ruby or emerald.

Which metal should I choose? For maximum whiteness choose white gold or sterling silver. For warmth choose yellow or rose gold. For a ring worn daily for decades, 14K balances colour and durability best.
