An emerald cut moissanite in four claws, with a small cluster of accents gathered against each side: two marquise cut moissanite arranged like a pair of leaves right against the girdle, and one round brilliant moissanite set just beyond them. Everything stops there. The rest of the band is a plain slim wire with nothing on it at all.

Placing the accents in a tight group at the head rather than spreading them along the shoulders does something specific: it widens the look of the head without lengthening it, so the ring reads as one compact bright shape rather than as a stone with decorated shoulders. Underneath, the claws open into a small leaf shaped basket that you only see from the side.

How it compares to our other emerald cut marquise accent rings

We list every design separately. Our twisted vine ring scatters marquise leaves and round buds along a two strand shank that runs the whole way round. Our marquise vine twist places one marquise per side on an open multi strand twist with pave. This ring has no twist and no pave anywhere: the shank is a single plain wire, and all five accents sit in two tight clusters at the head. It is the simplest of the three to wear and the easiest to pair with a wedding band, because everything below the head is bare metal.

Metals and sizes

Choose from 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. All gold is solid, not plated and not filled. White gold is rhodium finished. Yellow gold, as photographed, gives the clusters a botanical look; white gold makes them read as pure sparkle beside the centre stone. Centre stone sizes run from 2 carat to 5 carat, with the clusters scaled in proportion.

Mapple Gems is a family run workshop in Surat, India. Every ring is made by our own team once you order. Each marquise is claw set individually, at the angle that keeps the pair sitting flat against the girdle. If you would like a heavier band, more accents, or the round accents left off, tell us in the order notes before we begin.

Care

Moissanite is 9.25 on the Mohs scale and stands up to daily wear. Clean with warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush, working around the accent claws and through the basket beneath the head. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth. The marquise points are the most exposed part of this ring, so take it off before manual work and have the claws checked once a year.

Resizing

The band is plain everywhere except the head, so this ring resizes easily by one to two sizes. Contact us before ordering if you are unsure of the finger size and we will help you measure.

Questions people ask

Is the centre stone a diamond? No. Every stone in this ring is moissanite, a gemstone in its own right. We do not describe it as a diamond.

Is this a three stone ring? No. The marquise are small accents grouped beside the centre stone, not matched side stones, and there are two per side rather than one.

Why is the band so plain? Deliberately. All the detail is concentrated at the head, which keeps the ring comfortable, easy to resize and simple to pair with a wedding band.

Can I wear a wedding band with it? Yes, easily. The plain shank means a straight band sits flush along most of its length.

Does the price change with carat size? Yes. The 2 carat is the base price and each larger size adds a small amount. The exact price appears when you select a combination.
