Emerald Cut Moissanite Infinity Twist Pave Solitaire Engagement Ring

An emerald cut moissanite on a shank that separates into two strands and loops through itself in a full infinity crossing directly below the setting. One strand is bead set with pave moissanite, the other is plain polished metal, and the loop they form is open rather than pressed flat, so you can see daylight through the crossing point. A short run of pave also lifts onto the shoulder of the basket.

Why this ring works

Most infinity rings flatten the loop against the finger, which turns a three dimensional idea into a printed pattern. Here the two strands genuinely pass through one another with an open gap, so the crossing reads as real structure that changes as your hand moves. Restricting the pave to one strand is what keeps it readable: a fully paved infinity becomes a bright knot with no discernible shape, whereas one bright strand and one plain one lets you follow the loop.

Setting and band

Four claw prongs hold the corners of the emerald cut in a plain open basket, with a short run of bead set pave on the outer shoulder of the head. The shank divides into two strands that loop through one another in an open infinity crossing beneath the setting, then rejoin into a single rounded band at the back. One strand carries continuous bead set pave moissanite, the other is plain polished metal. Combined width at the crossing is approximately two millimetres. Metal is solid throughout with a polished interior.

Metal options

Choose from recycled 925 sterling silver, or solid 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. White gold, as photographed, keeps the whole loop bright and lets the pave strand merge into a single continuous line of light. Yellow and rose gold create a clearer split between the two strands, which makes the infinity shape more obvious. White gold is rhodium finished.

Ring sizing

Every ring is made to order in your size. Sizes run from 3 to 13, including half sizes. The single band at the back allows minor adjustment later, but ordering the correct size keeps the crossing sitting square under the stone. Care

An open crossing has more inside surfaces than a flat band and every one of them collects soap film. Clean every few weeks with warm water, mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush, working the brush through the loop from both sides and along the pave strand in both directions. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth.

Questions people ask

Is the infinity loop actually open? Yes. The two strands pass through one another with a genuine gap, rather than being cast as a flat overlapping pattern. It is more work at the bench and it looks noticeably different in the hand.

Why is only one strand paved? So the loop stays readable. Paving both turns the crossing into an undifferentiated bright mass.

Will the open crossing catch on things? The gap is small and the edges are rounded and polished. It behaves much like any split shank in daily wear.

Which metal should I choose? White gold or sterling silver for a unified bright loop. Yellow or rose gold to make the infinity shape read most clearly. For daily wear over decades, 14K balances colour and durability best.
