Why this ring works

Scalloped pave is the difference between a band that glitters and a band that looks like a line of dots. The metal between each stone is cut down into a shallow curve, so light strikes each moissanite from the side as well as from above. Combined with the hidden halo, which throws light straight back up into the base of the emerald cut, the whole ring reads brighter than the stone count suggests. The high profile head also means the ring stacks flush with a straight wedding band without the two fighting each other.

Setting and band

Four claw prongs hold the corners. A hidden halo of micro pave moissanite wraps the base of the crown on all four sides. The shank carries scalloped, cut down pave along roughly three quarters of its circumference, then runs plain across the back. Band width is approximately one point eight millimetres, tapering slightly toward the head so the centre stone dominates. Metal is solid throughout with a polished interior.

Metal options

Choose from recycled 925 sterling silver, or solid 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. White gold and sterling silver, as photographed, make the pave and the colorless centre stone read as one continuous sheet of light. Yellow and rose gold give more contrast between metal and stone. White gold is rhodium finished.

Ring sizing

Every ring is made to order in your size. Sizes run from 3 to 13, including half sizes. Because the back of the shank is left plain, this design can be resized later without disturbing any stones. If you are unsure of size, contact us and we will help before production starts.

Care

Pave collects lotion and soap film, so clean every few weeks with warm water, mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush, working under the crown and along the scalloped edges. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth. Remove the ring before swimming, gardening or lifting weights.

Questions people ask

Why is the pave only three quarters of the way around? Three quarter coverage keeps the underside of the ring smooth, allows future resizing, and prevents the pave from grinding against a wedding band. Full eternity pave looks the same from above but cannot be resized easily.

Do pave stones fall out? Properly cut down and beaded pave is secure for everyday wear. The most common cause of loss is a hard knock against a doorframe or gym equipment, which is why we recommend removing the ring for heavy work.

Will the hidden halo show from the front? Only as a faint bright line at the base of the centre stone. It is designed to be seen from the side and at an angle.

Which metal should I choose? For maximum whiteness choose white gold or sterling silver. For warmth choose yellow or rose gold. For a ring worn daily for decades, 14K balances colour and durability best.
