Emerald Cut Moissanite Hidden Halo Micro Pave Engagement Ring

A long emerald cut moissanite lifted high on four fine prongs, with a hidden halo wrapped around the base of the crown and micro pave running the full length of both shoulders and down the sides of the shank. Because the pave is set on the outer face and both flanks of a very slim band, the ring throws light from every angle rather than only from above.

Why this ring works

The band here is under two millimetres wide, and every millimetre of it that faces outward is set with stone. That is why the ring photographs the way it does in the hand shots. A slim shank makes the centre stone look larger, and covering that slim shank in micro pave means the eye never registers a break between band and stone. The hidden halo closes the last gap, filling the space directly under the crown so the emerald cut appears to float on a continuous line of light.

Setting and band

Four fine claw prongs hold the corners of the emerald cut in a raised basket. A hidden halo of micro pave moissanite wraps the base of the crown on all four sides. The shank is set with micro pave along its outer face and both side walls, running most of the way around before returning to plain metal at the back. Band width is approximately one point eight millimetres. Metal is solid throughout with a polished interior.

Metal options

Choose from recycled 925 sterling silver, or solid 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. White gold, as photographed, is the strongest choice here because the metal disappears entirely between the stones. Sterling silver gives the same effect at a lower price. Yellow and rose gold outline each pave stone in warm metal, which gives a more decorative, less monolithic look. White gold is rhodium finished.

Ring sizing

Every ring is made to order in your size. Sizes run from 3 to 13, including half sizes. Because pave runs most of the way around the shank, we strongly recommend ordering the correct size rather than resizing later. Contact us if you are unsure and we will help before production starts.

Care

Micro pave has many small gaps that trap lotion, and a dirty pave band looks grey rather than white. Clean every two to three weeks with warm water, mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush, working along the row from above and from both sides. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth. Have the beads checked every year or two.

Questions people ask

What is micro pave? Pave set with very small stones, typically under one and a half millimetres, held by tiny beads of metal raised from the surface with a graver. It gives a continuous field of light rather than a row of distinct stones.

Will the pave stones fall out? Correctly beaded micro pave is secure for daily wear. Losses almost always follow a hard knock rather than normal use, which is why we recommend removing the ring for gym work and heavy lifting.

Does a fully paved band make the centre stone look bigger? Yes. The band reads as light rather than metal, so there is no solid reference point beside the centre stone for the eye to measure against.

Which metal should I choose? For maximum whiteness and the most seamless pave choose white gold or sterling silver. For contrast choose yellow or rose gold. For daily wear over decades, 14K balances colour and durability best.
