Emerald Cut Moissanite Hidden Halo Ring with Alternating Marquise and Round Band

An emerald cut moissanite raised on four prongs above a hidden halo, with a band that alternates marquise cut and round cut moissanite along both shoulders in single shared prongs. Because each stone is held by the prong it shares with its neighbour, there is almost no metal between them, so the shoulders read as a continuous ribbon of stone rather than a row of settings.

Why this ring works

Alternating two shapes solves the problem that plain pave has on an emerald cut ring. Pave is uniform, and next to a long rectangular centre stone uniformity can read as flat. Marquise stones are pointed and elongated, rounds are compact and bright, and setting them in an alternating rhythm gives the band a pattern the eye follows toward the centre. The single shared prong construction keeps the metal minimal, which is why the shoulders stay light instead of looking heavy. Underneath, the hidden halo adds a line of light at the base of the crown and lifts the centre stone visually.

Side stones and band

Each shoulder carries marquise cut and round cut colorless moissanite set alternately in single shared prongs, running roughly two thirds of the way around the shank before the band returns to plain metal at the back. A hidden halo of micro pave wraps the base of the crown on all four sides. The profile is deliberately low so the ring is comfortable and does not snag. Metal is solid throughout with a polished interior.

Metal options

Choose from recycled 925 sterling silver, or solid 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose and white. Yellow gold, as photographed, makes the alternating pattern most visible because the warm prongs outline each stone. White gold and sterling silver blur the band into one continuous line of light. Rose gold sits between the two. White gold is rhodium finished.

Ring sizing

Every ring is made to order in your size. Sizes run from 3 to 13, including half sizes. If you are unsure, pick the closest size to your usual fit and contact us, and we will confirm it before production starts.

Care

Shared prong settings have small gaps that collect lotion. Clean every few weeks with warm water, mild dish soap and a soft toothbrush, working along the row from both sides. Rinse and dry with a lint free cloth. Have the shared prongs checked every year or two.

Questions people ask

What is a single shared prong? Instead of each stone having its own four prongs, neighbouring stones share the prong between them. It uses less metal, so more of each stone is visible, and it gives the band a lighter, more open look.

Why mix marquise and round stones? The contrast between a pointed elongated shape and a compact round one creates rhythm along the band. It also echoes the long rectangular outline of the emerald cut centre stone without copying it.

Can this ring be resized? Within a size or two, using the plain section at the back of the shank. Beyond that it is better to order the correct size, which is why every ring here is made to order.

Which metal should I choose? For maximum whiteness choose white gold or sterling silver. For the clearest view of the alternating pattern choose yellow or rose gold. For daily wear over decades, 14K balances colour and durability best.
