Emerald Cut Lab Grown Diamond Solitaire Ring with Plain Band in Yellow Gold

An emerald cut lab grown diamond in a four prong head on a completely plain yellow gold shank. No halo, no pave, no accent stones anywhere. An emerald cut is a step cut, which means its facets are long parallel planes rather than the many small triangles of a brilliant cut, and that produces broad flashes of light and the open hall of mirrors effect the cut is known for. Because a step cut hides less, it is the shape where clarity and colour show most plainly, and it is the reason we set VVS2 stones here rather than anything lower. Free IGI certificate for the centre diamond. Made to order in Surat in ten metals and four carat weights.

Center stone details

  • Shape: Emerald cut, step faceted
  • Colour: E

Side stone details

This ring has no side stones. The shank is plain from end to end, which keeps the profile slim, makes a wedding band sit flush and leaves the emerald cut as the only thing to look at.

Metal options

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. Photographed in yellow gold, which is the traditional pairing for an emerald cut and gives the ring an Art Deco character. White gold keeps the stone reading as cool and colourless as possible, which suits an emerald cut because a step cut shows body colour more readily than a brilliant. For everyday wear 14K is harder than 18K.

Ring size

Every ring is made to your finger size, so choose your size at checkout. If you are unsure, measure the inside diameter of a ring you already wear or ask us for a free size guide before ordering.

Custom orders

We can add a hidden halo, set pave along the shoulders, add tapered baguette side stones, or set the emerald east to west across the finger. For any other customization request please contact us at https://mapplegems.com/pages/contact and we will quote it before you order.

Frequently asked questions

Why does an emerald cut sparkle less than a round?
It is not a fault, it is the design. Step cuts produce long broad flashes rather than the fine scattered sparkle of a brilliant cut. If you want maximum sparkle in a rectangular stone, a radiant cut is the better choice. If you want clarity and a clean architectural look, the emerald cut is the one.

Does an emerald cut show inclusions more?
Yes. The large open table acts like a window into the stone, so inclusions and colour that would hide in a brilliant cut are visible here. That is exactly why we set E colour VVS2 stones in this design rather than lower grades.

Are the corners fragile?
Emerald cuts have cropped corners rather than sharp points, which is already a protective feature of the cut. The prongs sit on those corners, so the most exposed parts are covered.

Will a wedding band sit flush?
Yes. The shank is straight and plain, and the flat sides of an emerald cut mean a straight band sits neatly against the head without needing a contoured shape.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.

How long does it take to make?
Production usually takes ten to fourteen working days, plus shipping time to your address.

Why buy a lab grown diamond

A lab grown diamond gives the same hardness, brilliance and fire as a mined stone at a fraction of the price. That gap matters most on an emerald cut, because this is the shape where you cannot cut corners on clarity, and lab grown is what makes a certified E VVS2 stone at 4 or 5 carat affordable. It is created without mining, so there is no excavation and no doubt about origin.
