A three stone ring built around an emerald cut lab grown diamond, with a pear cut diamond lying on its side against each edge of the centre and vintage style pave shoulders behind them.

Turning the pears sideways is what makes this design work. A pear pointing outward would stretch the ring along the finger. Lying on its side, the curved end of each pear meets the flat edge of the emerald cut and the point runs back into the shoulder, so the three stones read as one continuous shape rather than three separate ones.

Behind the side stones the shoulders open into kite shaped panels set with pave diamonds and outlined in hand raised milgrain. Underneath, the gallery is pierced into open scrollwork, so the ring is decorated on all the surfaces you see when your hand moves, in the way antique rings were made.

The centre stone is claw set at its four corners with ball tipped claws, and the band tapers to a smooth polished shank at the back for comfort.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. It is the same carbon crystal, with the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Is a certificate included?
Yes. An IGI certificate for the centre stone is included at no extra cost, listing carat weight, colour, clarity, measurements and laboratory grown origin.

How is this different from your other three stone emerald cut rings?
The side stones here are pear cuts laid on their sides, not tapered baguettes or trapezoids, and the shoulders behind them carry milgrain edged kite panels of pave with a pierced scroll gallery underneath. It is the most decorated three stone design we make in this shape.

What does a three stone ring symbolise?
The three stones are usually taken to represent the past, present and future of a relationship, which is why the style is chosen for engagements and for anniversaries alike.

Will a wedding band sit flush against it?
The side stones sit low, so a straight band meets the ring closely. A contoured band gives the neatest fit against the shoulders, and we can make one to match the milgrain.

Which carat weight suits this setting?
All four are made for it. At 2 carat the three stones look closely matched. At 4 or 5 carat the centre stone leads clearly and the pears become graceful accents.

Are pear cut side stones fragile?
The point of a pear is its most delicate part, so each one is protected by a claw placed directly over the tip. Worn normally, they last as well as any other diamond.

How do I clean it?
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush, working over the pave panels and through the open scroll gallery. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth.

How long does it take to make?
