The band is what makes this ring. Two rounded wires of gold are wound around one another from one shoulder to the other, and where they cross they leave small open windows through the shank, so the whole band reads as living growth rather than a solid ring. Marquise cut diamonds are set into that growth in loose clusters, tipped at different angles the way real leaves sit on a stem, each held in fine claws with a small gold bead or two beside it. Nothing is spaced evenly and nothing is repeated exactly, which is the point. The clusters gather and thicken as they climb toward the head, so the eye is carried up the shoulders and into the centre stone.

Against all that movement, the emerald cut sits perfectly still. Its long parallel step facets and cropped corners give a broad open table and slow flashes of light rather than the fast sparkle of a brilliant, so the centre stone stays calm while the vine around it glitters. Double claws grip each of the four corners, set with the length of the stone running up the finger, and the head sits low enough that the leaves reach right up to the girdle.

Band details

Two rounded gold strands twisted into an open vine, with small windows between the crossings. The band tapers slightly toward the back of the finger and the interior is smoothed and comfort rounded so nothing catches when the ring turns.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond, and it is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

What is an emerald cut
A rectangular step cut with cropped corners and long parallel facets. It has a wide open table and gives broad slow flashes of light rather than fast sparkle, which is why it is often described as the most elegant of the step cuts.

Why are the leaves marquise cut
A marquise is a long oval that comes to a point at each end, which is the closest a cut stone comes to the natural shape of a leaf. Set at varied angles it reads as foliage rather than as a row of side stones.

Do emerald cuts show inclusions more than other shapes
Yes. The open step facets hide far less than a brilliant does, which is exactly why we use VVS2 clarity for the centre stone in this design.

Can this ring be resized
Within a limited range. The twisted band carries set stones along its shoulders, so we prefer to make the ring to your size from the start. Tell us your size at checkout and we will build it to fit.

Does a nature inspired band catch on clothing
No. The leaves are set flush into the twist rather than raised above it, and every claw is filed down and polished so the surface stays smooth to the touch.

How is this different from your other nature inspired rings
Others use a single carved branch, a plain twist with no stones, or round accents scattered as blossoms. This is the only one where a two strand twist is planted with marquise leaves and topped with an emerald cut centre.
