Most halos use very small stones so the frame reads as a glow. This one does the opposite. The halo diamonds are large enough to be seen individually, and each pair shares a single prong between them, which is what lets them sit shoulder to shoulder with almost no metal in between. The result is a wide bright frame that follows the octagonal outline of the emerald cut and makes the head look considerably bigger than the center stone alone.

Shared prong setting is also why the band matches. The same technique runs along the shoulders, so the diamonds continue in an unbroken line from the halo into the shank without a change of rhythm. There is no pave here in the usual sense, no field of tiny beads, just substantial stones set with as little metal showing as the setter can manage.

Against all of that brilliance the emerald cut stays calm. Step cut facets give slow wide flashes rather than fast fire, so even inside a bold halo the center stone reads as the still point of the ring.

Band details

The shank carries diamonds along the upper half and returns to plain polished metal underneath. The head sits above an open gallery so the center stone is not closed in from below.

Choose 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Every metal is fully hallmarked. White gold is finished with rhodium for a bright cool white. Yellow gold gives this design its warm vintage weight, while white gold makes the halo and center stone merge into one large bright shape.

Frequently asked questions

Is the center stone a real diamond
Yes. A lab grown diamond is real diamond. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond. The only difference is where it was grown.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

How much larger does the halo make the ring look
Because these halo stones are large rather than micro sized, a 2 carat emerald cut in this setting presents roughly like a 3 carat stone from a normal viewing distance. Larger center stones gain proportionally less because the halo is scaled to the center.

What is a shared prong setting
Each prong holds two neighbouring stones at once instead of one. It removes the metal that would otherwise sit between them, so the diamonds look continuous and more light reaches each stone.

Can this ring be resized later
Within a size or two. The diamonds stop before the palm side, which gives a jeweller plain metal to work with, but tell us your size as accurately as you can. First resizing is free.

How is this different from your other halo rings
Our bezel halo ring frames a bezel with fine pave. Our floral petal halo sets each accent in its own milgrain petal. This design uses the largest halo stones of the three, set in shared prongs, and carries the same stones down the band.

Does a wedding band sit flush against it
The halo extends past the shank, so a straight band meets the ring at the outer edge. Most customers choose a contoured band with this design, and we can make one to match.

Is it heavy to wear
It is a substantial ring, but the gallery is open and the shank returns to a normal width underneath, so it balances well on the finger.

Which metal should I choose
White gold or sterling silver for maximum apparent size. Yellow or rose gold if you want the halo outlined and the ring to read warmer and more vintage.
