An emerald cut lab grown diamond sits above a band where marquise and round diamonds alternate, each one held in its own polished bezel of gold rather than in claws or pave.

Bezel setting means a thin wall of metal is raised around the edge of each stone and burnished down over it. It is the oldest way to set a diamond and still the most protective, because nothing sticks up to catch on clothing. Here it also does something visual. Every accent stone gets a clean gold outline, so the band reads as a repeating pattern of shapes, pointed marquise, round, pointed marquise, all the way along the shoulder.

The marquise stones are set lengthways along the band and the round stones sit between them, which lets the row curve smoothly with the shank. Small gold links join one bezel to the next so the band keeps a continuous line rather than looking like separate islands of metal.

Above them the centre stone is claw set at its four corners on a plain gallery, kept simple so the decorated band does not compete with it. The result is a ring with an antique feel that is unusually practical to wear, since the accent stones cannot snag.

Is the centre stone a real diamond?
Yes. A lab grown diamond has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same brilliance as a mined diamond. Only its origin differs.

Does the ring come with a certificate?
Yes. An IGI certificate for the centre stone is included at no extra cost, listing carat weight, colour, clarity, measurements and laboratory grown origin.

How is this different from your other marquise accent emerald cut rings?
Our other marquise designs claw set the stones as leaves or petals on a vine. Here every accent, marquise and round alike, sits inside its own polished bezel, and the two shapes alternate in a strict repeating pattern. It is a smoother, more geometric and more snag resistant band.

Why choose bezel set accents?
Because the metal wraps the edge of each stone, nothing protrudes. That makes the band comfortable under gloves, safe around fabric and hair, and secure for people who work with their hands.

Will a wedding band sit flush against it?
The bezels sit low and even, so a straight band meets this ring closely. A plain slim band is the neatest pairing, and we can make one in the same metal.

Which carat weight looks best?
All four are made for this setting. At 2 carat the band pattern and the centre stone feel balanced. At 4 or 5 carat the centre becomes the clear focus while the bezel pattern continues quietly around the finger.

Is an emerald cut suitable for daily wear?
Yes. Its corners are cut at an angle rather than left as points, and the claws here sit directly over those corners.

How do I clean it?
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush. Bezel settings collect very little dust compared with pave, so this is one of the easier bands to keep bright. Rinse and dry with a soft cloth.
