A marquise cut lab grown diamond set east to west across the finger, over a hidden halo, on a fine band alternating marquise and round accent diamonds. Turning the centre stone sideways and then running small marquises down the shank in the opposite direction is a deliberate contradiction, and it is what gives this ring its movement. The centre lies across the finger as a wide horizontal bar. The accents lie along the finger pointing toward it, alternating with small rounds, each individually claw set with clear metal between. So the eye is pulled outward by the centre and inward by the band at the same time. Underneath, a hidden halo wraps the basket. Free IGI certificate for the centre stone. Accent stones and band

Marquise cut and round brilliant lab grown diamonds alternate along both shoulders, each individually claw set with polished metal visible between them. The marquise accents lie along the shank pointing toward the centre. Pave is hidden inside the basket and the lower shank is plain.

Frequently asked questions

What does east west mean?
The long axis of the stone runs across the finger rather than along it. On a marquise it turns a vertical line into a bold horizontal bar and is far less common than the traditional orientation.

Why do the accents point the other way?
Because the contrast is the design. The centre lies across the finger and the accents run along it, so the two directions meet at the head instead of reinforcing each other. It gives the ring more movement than aligning everything would.

Is east west more comfortable?
Usually yes. The points sit clear of the knuckle rather than extending toward it, so nothing catches when the finger bends.

Are the points protected?
Yes. A V shaped claw caps each point of the centre stone and takes any knock before the diamond does.

What is a hidden halo?
A row of small diamonds set into the basket beneath the centre stone, facing outward. Invisible from above, it lights the profile view.
