A round brilliant lab grown diamond with a pear cut diamond set close on either side, all three carried on a plain polished shank that tapers slightly toward the head. The proportions are what make this version work. The pears are cut small in relation to the centre and set tight against it, so they read as an extension of the round rather than as competing stones, and the whole head stays compact. There is no pave, no halo and no decorative gallery, which leaves the three stones and the bare metal to do everything. Three stones are traditionally read as past, present and future, which is why a trilogy is chosen as often for a milestone anniversary as for a proposal. Metal options

With a bare shank the metal reads as a clean line either side of the stones rather than as a field of pave, so the colour choice is unusually visible. Yellow gold is the traditional trilogy setting and gives the strongest contrast against three colourless stones. White gold lets the three merge into one continuous run of light. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and keeps a polished shank looking newer for longer.

Frequently asked questions

What does a three stone ring mean?
The three stones are usually read as past, present and future, one for where a couple began, one for where they are, one for what is ahead. It is why trilogy rings suit engagements and milestone anniversaries equally.

Does the carat weight include the side stones?
No. The carat option you choose is the weight of the centre round only. The pear sides are additional and scale in proportion so the ring stays balanced at every carat weight.

Why are the side stones kept small?
So the centre stone stays clearly the focus. Larger sides give a more balanced, spread out look, smaller sides make the round appear bigger and keep the head compact. We can enlarge them if you prefer the wider look.

Will a wedding band sit flush?
Because the side stones sit low against the shank, a straight band sits close on most sizes. We can make a matching contoured band if you want a perfect fit, just ask before ordering.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.

How long does it take to make?
