A round brilliant lab grown diamond held in four split tipped claws above a hidden halo, on a band pave set along both shoulders. The claw choice is the detail to notice. Four claws instead of six leaves considerably more of the stone visible from above, and splitting each tip into two fine points spreads the grip without adding bulk, so the metal touching the diamond is kept to a minimum. The result is a head that seems to hold the stone with very little effort. Underneath, the hidden halo lifts the round clear of the band, and the pave carries the line of light out along the finger. Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. A round brilliant scatters light so heavily that it is the least colour sensitive shape, so every metal suits it. Yellow gold gives the classic warm setting, white gold the most contemporary. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K, which matters here because split claw tips are finer than solid ones and benefit from a harder alloy.

Frequently asked questions

What is a split tipped claw?
Each claw divides into two fine points where it meets the stone rather than ending in one solid tip. It grips at more places while covering less of the diamond, and it gives the head a lighter, more decorative look from above.

Are four claws secure enough?
Yes for a round brilliant, which has no vulnerable points or corners. Four claws show more of the stone. Six claws grip at more places and are the more conservative choice as carat weight rises. We can build either at no extra cost.

What is a hidden halo?
A ring of small diamonds set around the base of the centre stone, facing outward instead of upward. From above you see only the round. From the side it reads as a bright collar beneath the stone.

Does pave on the shoulders affect resizing?
Not much. The pave covers the shoulders only and the back of the band is left plain, so a jeweller has metal to work with. We still recommend ordering your exact size.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.

How long does it take to make?
Production usually takes ten to fourteen working days, plus shipping time to your address.
