A round brilliant lab grown diamond in a four claw head above a hidden halo, on a fine polished band. Four claws on a round is a deliberately modern choice. Six is the traditional count and gives a softer circular outline, but four exposes noticeably more of the stone and gives the head a squarer, cleaner geometry from above. On a round brilliant, which has no corners or points to protect, that reduction costs nothing in security and returns more visible diamond. Underneath, the hidden halo raises the stone off the shank so light can reach the pavilion from below, and it is the only ornament on an otherwise bare ring. A round brilliant is the least colour sensitive shape because its faceting scatters light so heavily, so every metal suits it equally. Yellow gold gives the classic warm setting, white gold the most contemporary, rose gold the softest. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and keeps a fine polished shank looking newer for longer.

Frequently asked questions

Four claws or six on a round?
Six is traditional and keeps the outline softly circular while gripping at more points. Four shows more of the stone and reads more modern and geometric. A round brilliant has no vulnerable corners, so four is perfectly secure. We build either at no extra cost.

What is a hidden halo?
A ring of small diamonds set around the base of the centre stone, facing outward instead of upward. From above you see only the round. From the side it appears as a bright collar beneath the stone.

Will a wedding band sit flush?
Yes. The head sits above the band rather than extending down the finger, so a straight wedding band meets it cleanly without needing a curve or notch.

Why is a round brilliant the most popular shape?
Its 57 facets are cut to return the maximum light back to the eye, so it sparkles more than any other shape at the same weight, and that sparkle also masks small differences in colour and clarity.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.

How long does it take to make?
