Its fifty seven facets are angled to return almost all the light that enters the table straight back to the eye, which is why a round sparkles harder than any other shape at the same weight. A four prong setting exposes more of that stone than six, and a fine band leaves nothing beside it to compare against, so the diamond is the whole ring.

Band details

The shank is a fine rounded band with a smooth polished surface, unbroken from the head all the way round. No pave, no milgrain, no split. Because the band is narrow the stone looks larger, and because it is plain the ring will still look right in thirty years when whatever is fashionable now has passed.

Metal options

Choose from 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Yellow gold is the traditional pairing and gives the round a warm halo of reflected light. Rose gold reads softer and more contemporary. White gold and sterling silver make the setting vanish so the diamond appears unsupported. Every metal is finished by hand in our workshop.

Four prongs or six?
Four prongs cover less of the stone, so more of the diamond is visible and the outline stays square and clean. Six prongs cover a little more but spread the hold further. Both are secure. We can build this ring either way.

Does a plain band make the diamond look bigger?
Yes. There is nothing beside the stone for the eye to measure it against, and a narrow shank makes the head look proportionally larger than the same stone on a wide or stone set band.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. A lab grown diamond has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness, refractive index and fire as a mined diamond. The only difference is that it was grown in a controlled environment rather than pulled from the ground.

Can this ring be resized?
Easily. A plain unstoned shank is the simplest kind of band to size up or down, which makes this a practical choice if you are not certain of the size.
