An oval cut lab grown diamond held in four claws on a low open basket, on a band that tapers from the setting down towards the back of the finger. The point of this design is height, or rather the lack of it. The basket is cut as shallow as the pavilion allows, so the stone sits close against the skin instead of perching above it, and the tapering shank keeps the whole ring in one flat plane. It is the version of the oval solitaire for people who dislike a ring that stands proud.

Band details

The shank is plain and polished, at its widest where it meets the basket and narrowing steadily towards the back of the finger. There are no stones on the band. The taper is what makes the centre stone look wider at the point where the eye reads it.

Metal options

Choose 925 sterling silver with rhodium plating, or solid 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Yellow gold gives the warm finish shown in the photographs and defines the taper clearly. Rose gold reads softer against the skin. White gold, rhodium finished, makes the band recede so the oval carries the whole ring. Every metal is hallmarked and every carat weight is available in every metal.

Is the centre stone a real diamond
Yes. A lab grown diamond is chemically, physically and optically identical to a mined diamond and is graded on the same scale by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the centre stone is included at no extra cost with every order.

What is a low profile setting
It means the basket holding the stone is built as shallow as the depth of the diamond allows, so the stone sits close to the finger. Low profile rings catch less, slide under gloves more easily and feel more secure to most wearers.

Does a low basket reduce sparkle
No. The pavilion is still left open underneath so light enters from below exactly as it would in a taller setting. Only the height of the metal changes.

Why is the band tapered
A tapered shank is wider at the top and narrower at the bottom. Visually it frames the stone and makes it read larger, and practically it puts the metal where the strength is needed.

Can I wear a wedding band beside it
Yes, and this is one of the easiest designs to pair. The low basket means a straight band sits flat against the shank with no gap underneath.
