An oval cut lab grown diamond set over a pave hidden halo, on a shank that splits into curving vines set with pave and opens into leaf shapes on both sides. The band is not a straight line anywhere along its length. It curves away from the stone, crosses back and rejoins, and the pave follows those curves rather than sitting in a row. It is a considerable amount of hand work for a ring that still reads as an oval solitaire from a distance.

Band details

The shank splits below the setting into two sculpted vines that curve apart, cross and rejoin at the back of the finger, with pave along the visible faces and open sections between. The inside of the band is smooth and rounded so only the outside carries the detail.

Metal options

Choose 925 sterling silver with rhodium plating, or solid 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. White gold, rhodium finished, gives the bright silvery look shown in the photographs and makes the vines read almost like frost. Yellow gold turns the same shape into antique goldwork. Rose gold is the warmest. Every metal is hallmarked and every carat weight is available in every metal.

Is the centre stone a real diamond
Yes. A lab grown diamond is chemically, physically and optically identical to a mined diamond and is graded on the same scale by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the centre stone is included at no extra cost with every order.

Is a split shank as strong as a solid one
Yes. Two sections sharing the load are as strong as one thicker section, and we increase the metal where the vines meet the setting, which is where the stress sits.

Is the sculpted band difficult to clean
Less so than a solid pave band, because the open sections give dirt nowhere to collect. Warm water and a soft brush is enough, and we clean and polish free of charge for life.

Can this ring be resized
Within about one size in either direction. Larger changes mean recutting part of the vine, which we can quote for.

Can I wear a wedding band beside it
A curved or vine shaped band sits closest, and we make one to order. A straight plain band will show small gaps where the shank curves.

How long does it take to make
Made to order rings usually leave our workshop within 12 to 16 working days because of the sculpted work. We confirm the date by email once your size is set.
