Station setting depends entirely on the contrast between each stone and the metal around it, so the colour choice matters more here than on a fully pave band. Yellow and rose gold isolate each accent sharply. White gold gives a softer, more continuous effect. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and keeps the polished sections between the stones looking clean for longer.

Frequently asked questions

What is station setting?
The small diamonds are spaced apart along the band with polished metal between them, rather than set edge to edge as in pave. It is also called distance setting. It gives separate points of sparkle and keeps the band looking slim.

Is it more practical than pave?
Yes in two ways. There are fewer settings for dirt to collect in so it stays cleaner, and there is more plain metal on the shank, which makes resizing easier later.

What is a hidden halo?
A ring of small diamonds around the base of the centre stone, facing outward instead of upward. From above you see the oval alone. From the side it appears as a bright collar underneath.

Does an oval look bigger than a round of the same weight?
Generally yes. An oval spreads its weight over a longer surface, so it presents more face up area than a round of identical carat, and the elongated outline flatters the finger.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.

How long does it take to make?
