An oval cut lab grown diamond in a four claw head with a hidden halo of small diamonds set around its base, on a completely plain polished band. This is the most restrained way to build a hidden halo ring. Every accent diamond in the piece is concentrated in one place, out of sight from above, and the shank contributes nothing but a clean line of metal. Looked at straight down it is a plain oval solitaire. Turned even slightly it shows a bright collar of light beneath the stone that was not there a moment before. That contrast between the two views is the entire idea, and adding pave to the band would spoil it by putting light where the eye already expects some. Metal options

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. With a bare band the metal colour carries the whole ring, and the hidden halo is the only thing competing with it. Yellow and rose gold make the hidden stones read as a bright seam in warm metal, white gold makes them merge into the diamond above. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and keeps a plain polished band free of dents for longer.

Frequently asked questions

What is a hidden halo?
A ring of small diamonds set around the base of the centre stone, facing outward instead of upward. From above the ring looks like a plain solitaire. From the side the halo shows as a bright band underneath the diamond.

Why leave the band completely plain?
So the surprise works. The whole point of a hidden halo is the difference between the view from above and the view from the side. Pave on the shank would put visible sparkle where you already expect it and flatten that contrast.

Does the hidden halo make the diamond look bigger?
It adds visible width at the base and lifts the stone slightly higher, which makes the whole head read as larger, without changing the diamond you see from above.

Does an oval look bigger than a round of the same weight?
Generally yes. An oval spreads its weight across a longer surface, presenting more face up area than a round of identical carat, and the elongated outline flatters the finger.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.

How long does it take to make?
Production usually takes ten to fourteen working days, plus shipping time to your address.
