An oval cut lab grown diamond held in a full bezel on a slim plain band. The bezel is a continuous rim of metal wrapping the whole girdle of the stone, with no claws anywhere. What that produces is a very clean silhouette. From above the ring is two shapes only, an oval of diamond inside an oval of gold, sitting on a thin line. There is nothing raised to catch on clothing and nothing that can bend or snag, which is why bezels are the setting of choice for people who work with their hands, wear gloves, or simply never want to think about their ring. Metal options

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. A bezel puts a visible band of metal directly around the diamond, so the colour contrast between rim and stone is the strongest design decision here. Yellow gold gives a warm frame that reads clearly as gold on diamond, white gold makes the rim almost invisible so the oval looks larger. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and keeps a bezel edge crisp for longer.

Frequently asked questions

What is a bezel setting?
A continuous rim of metal that wraps around the entire girdle of the stone and holds it in place. It is the most secure setting there is, since there are no individual claws that can bend, wear thin or snag.

Does a bezel make the diamond look smaller?
The rim covers the very edge of the stone, so a fraction of the outline is hidden. In a white metal the frame reads as part of the stone and often makes the head look larger overall. In yellow gold the contrast is clearer and the diamond reads as its true size.

Does a bezel reduce sparkle?
Slightly less light enters from the sides than in a claw setting, but the pavilion is still open underneath, which is where most of the light that creates brilliance comes from. The difference is small and the trade for security is usually worth it.

Will a wedding band sit flush against it?
Yes. The shank is slim, straight and free of settings, so any straight band meets it cleanly.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.

How long does it take to make?
