A marquise cut lab grown diamond is set point to point along the finger in six claws, and on each side sits a half moon diamond with its straight edge facing the centre stone and its curved edge outward. The half moons fill the widest part of the marquise exactly, so the three stones meet with almost no metal between them and the head reads as one continuous elongated shape. It is a difficult setting to cut well, because each half moon has to be matched to the curve of the centre stone, and it is the reason this design looks so much larger on the hand than its carat weight suggests.

Band details

The shank is a slim polished band with no stones set into it. Keeping it plain is deliberate. With three matched diamonds filling the top of the finger, any pave along the shoulders would compete rather than add. The plain band also makes the ring easy to resize and comfortable in daily wear.

Metal options

Choose 925 sterling silver with rhodium plating, or solid 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Yellow gold gives the warm outline shown in the photographs and separates the white stones from the metal cleanly. White gold, rhodium finished, makes the three stones merge into one broad diamond. Rose gold softens the points. Every metal is hallmarked and every carat weight is available in every metal.

Yes. A lab grown diamond is chemically, physically and optically identical to a mined diamond and is graded on the same scale by the same laboratories.

Are the side stones included in the carat weight
No. The carat weight you select is the centre stone. The two half moons are cut in proportion to it and included at no extra charge.

What is a half moon cut
A diamond cut with one straight edge and one curved edge, shaped like a half circle. It is used almost exclusively as a side stone because it fits flush against a curved centre stone with no gap.

Are marquise points fragile
The two tips are the thinnest part of the stone, so each one is held under a prong that wraps over the point rather than sitting beside it.

Can I wear a wedding band beside it
Yes. The shank is straight and plain, so a band sits flush on either side with no gap.

How long does it take to make
