A deep red marquise cut garnet held point to point in claws, with a small cluster of marquise and round lab grown diamonds set at each end so the outline extends away from the centre stone in two directions. The clusters turn the ring from a simple marquise solitaire into something closer to a star, and because the accents are colourless against a dark red centre the contrast is far stronger than it would be with a pale gemstone.

Band details

Choose 925 sterling silver with rhodium plating, or solid 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. White gold, rhodium finished, gives the cool contrast shown in the photographs and makes the red read darkest. Yellow gold warms the garnet and pushes it towards an antique look. Rose gold picks up the red in the stone. Every metal is hallmarked and every carat weight is available in every metal.

Garnet sits between 6.5 and 7.5 on the Mohs scale depending on the variety. It is suitable for a ring worn regularly, though we recommend taking it off for heavy manual work.

Are the points of the garnet at risk
Both ends sit inside V shaped claws that wrap them completely, the same protection we give a marquise diamond.

Can I wear a wedding band beside it
