Most three stone rings repeat the shape of the centre in the sides. This one deliberately does not. The emerald cut is all straight lines, cropped corners and long parallel step facets, and it gives broad slow flashes of light. The pears beside it are brilliant cut, rounded at the shoulder and drawn to a point, and they throw fast scattered fire. The contrast is the design. The eye reads the still rectangle first and the two bright points second, and because each pear turns its point outward along the finger, the whole head appears to stretch rather than to stop at the shoulders.

The sides are set low, level with the girdle of the centre stone, each held by three fine claws with the tip protected by its own claw, which is the point on a pear where damage happens if a setter is careless. Behind them the band is completely plain and slim, so nothing else in the ring asks for attention.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond, and it is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Why pear sides rather than matching emerald cuts

Are pear tips fragile
The point is the most vulnerable part of any pear, which is why each one here has its own claw over the tip rather than being held only at the shoulders.

Do emerald cuts show inclusions more than other shapes
Yes. The open step facets hide far less than a brilliant does, which is why we use VVS2 clarity for the centre stone.

Will a wedding band sit flush
The pear tips sit low but they do extend along the finger. A straight band works with a small gap, and we can make a contoured band that curves around the tips instead.
