An emerald cut lab grown diamond in four claws on a band shaped as a curling vine, edged with milgrain along its length and planted with pear and marquise cut diamonds set as leaves.

The band is a single vine rather than two strands twisted together. It curls back on itself as it travels around the finger, leaving open scrolled spaces where it turns, and its whole length is bordered with milgrain, a fine row of raised beads worked with a knurling wheel. That beading is the detail that separates this from a plain nature inspired band. It gives the vine a defined edge and a slightly antique softness, and it catches light along the metal itself rather than only in the stones.

The leaves are pear and marquise cut diamonds set at intervals along the vine, each claw held and angled slightly differently so no two sit the same way. Nearest the head they cluster more closely, then thin out as the vine travels toward the back of the finger, which draws the eye upward toward the centre stone. Above all of it the emerald cut is set plainly on a low collar, its long parallel step facets holding still while the vine glitters around them.

Band details

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond, and it is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

What is milgrain
A border of tiny raised beads worked into the metal with a knurling wheel. Here it runs the whole length of the vine and gives the band its antique edge.

Why pear and marquise leaves rather than one shape
Real foliage is not uniform. Mixing two pointed shapes and angling each one differently is what makes the band read as growth rather than as a repeated motif.

Will the leaves catch on clothing
No. Each accent is set into the vine rather than raised above it, and every claw is filed and polished flat.

Do emerald cuts show inclusions more than other shapes
Yes. The open step facets hide far less than a brilliant does, which is why we use VVS2 clarity for the centre stone.

Will a wedding band sit flush
A straight band leaves small gaps where the vine curls. We make a matching vine band that nests into the pattern and can quote for it with the ring.

Can this ring be resized
Within a limited range only, because the vine and its leaves run most of the way around. We prefer to build it to your size, so tell us your size at checkout.

How is this different from your other vine and branch rings
One uses a two strand twist with marquise leaves, another a bare branch with bud clusters at the shoulders. This is the only one where a single milgrain edged vine carries pear and marquise leaves all the way around.
