An emerald cut lab grown diamond in four claws over a milgrain edged hidden halo, on a very slim band set with micro pave diamonds running the full circumference.

The band here is the finest pave we make. The stones are small, the band is narrow, and the row runs all the way around the finger without a plain section, so from any angle the shank reads as a continuous thread of light rather than as metal with diamonds in it. Micro pave of this scale is slow work. Each seat is cut individually and each stone is held by four tiny beads raised out of the metal with a graver, and because the stones are small the beads have to be smaller still.

Against that, the emerald cut is enormous and completely calm. The contrast between the fine glitter of the band and the broad slow flashes of a step cut is the whole point of the design, and it is why the band is kept as narrow as it is. A wider or bolder pave would start to argue with the centre stone. Under the head the hidden halo is edged with milgrain, a fine row of raised beads that softens the join between the setting and the girdle of the diamond.

Band details

A very slim shank set with micro pave the whole way around, with no plain section. The interior is smoothed and comfort rounded so nothing is felt against the finger.

Metal options

Choose 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Every metal is fully hallmarked. White gold is shown in the photographs, where the micro pave disappears into the metal and reads as a single line of light.

Ring size

The ring is made to your finger size. Select your size at checkout. Because the pave runs the full circumference, this ring cannot be resized afterward, so please take care with your size or ask us for a printable size guide before we begin.

Custom orders

We can change the carat weight, stop the pave at three quarters so the ring can be resized later, use larger stones for a bolder band, remove the milgrain, or make a matching micro pave wedding band. Frequently asked questions

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond, and it is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

What is micro pave
Pave using very small stones, each held by four tiny beads raised out of the metal with a hand graver. It gives a continuous field of light with almost no visible metal between the diamonds.

Can a full pave band be resized
Not without resetting stones, which is why we make this ring to your exact size from the start. If you expect your size to change, ask us for the three quarter pave version instead.

Will small pave stones fall out
Not if they are set properly. Each stone sits in its own cut seat and is held by four beads. We also offer lifetime checking and re tightening as part of our service.

What is milgrain
A border of tiny raised beads worked into the metal with a knurling wheel, used here to edge the hidden halo.

Do emerald cuts show inclusions more than other shapes
Yes. The open step facets hide far less than a brilliant does, which is why we use VVS2 clarity for the centre stone.

Will a wedding band sit flush
Yes. The hidden halo raises the head enough for a straight band to meet the shank without a gap.

How is this different from your other pave emerald cut rings
Others use larger French or scalloped pave that stops three quarters of the way round. This is the finest of them and the only one where the pave runs the complete circumference.
