Elongated Cushion Cut Lab Grown Diamond Triple Split Claw Solitaire Ring

An elongated cushion cut lab grown diamond held in four claws, each of which splits into three fine fingers where it reaches the stone, on a plain polished band. Twelve points of contact rather than four, from only four rising arms. The effect at the head is closer to a small fan or petal opening against each corner of the cushion than to conventional claws, and because each finger is much thinner than a single claw would be, the metal covering the stone is barely there despite there being three times as much of it. It is a piece of goldsmithing rather than an added stone, which is why the band beneath is left completely plain. E colour, VVS2 clarity, free IGI certificate. Split claws are a metalwork detail, so they read most clearly in yellow or rose gold where the fanned fingers show against the diamond. White gold makes them recede almost entirely. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and keeps fine split claw fingers rigid.

What are triple split claws?
Each of the four claws divides into three fine fingers where it meets the stone, giving twelve points of contact instead of four. It is a decorative goldsmithing detail that also spreads the holding pressure more evenly around the girdle.

Do split claws hold as securely as plain ones?
Yes, and arguably better. More contact points mean the pressure is distributed rather than concentrated, though each individual finger is finer, which is why we recommend 14K over 18K for daily wear.

What is an elongated cushion?
A cushion cut stretched into a rectangle while keeping its softly rounded corners. It runs along the finger and slims the hand the way an oval does, while retaining the antique character of a cushion.

Why is the band plain?
Because the claw work is the design. Adding pave would compete with a detail that is already asking for attention at the head.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
