An elongated cushion cut lab grown diamond held in four triple eagle tip claws, on a pave set band. The claws are unlike anything else in the collection. Each one broadens as it reaches the stone and then splits into three wide flat tips that fan outward across the crown, so instead of four narrow points gripping the diamond there are twelve broad paddles spread around it like a bird of prey closing its talons. It is a deliberately theatrical piece of goldsmithing, showing far more metal at the head than a conventional claw, and it makes the setting itself a feature rather than a means of holding the stone. The pave band keeps light running down both shoulders beneath it. E colour, VVS2 clarity throughout, free IGI certificate for the centre stone. Eagle tip claws show a great deal of metal against the diamond, so the colour choice is unusually consequential here. Yellow and rose gold make the fanned tips read as bold gold shapes across the stone, white gold reduces them to bright outlines. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and keeps broad flat claw tips from flattening further over time.

Frequently asked questions

What is an eagle tip claw?
A claw that broadens and splits into several wide flat tips where it folds over the stone, resembling a talon. Here each of the four claws divides into three, giving twelve broad points of contact across the crown.

Does it cover more of the diamond?
Yes, noticeably more than a standard claw. That is the trade being made. You gain a distinctive and very secure head in exchange for a little face up area at the edges of the stone.

How is this different from split claws?
Split claws divide into fine fingers that stay narrow. Eagle tips are broad and flat, fanning outward as paddles. The first is delicate, the second is deliberately bold.

What is an elongated cushion?
A cushion cut stretched into a rectangle while keeping its softly rounded corners. It runs along the finger and slims the hand the way an oval does, while retaining the antique character of a cushion.

Will pave stones fall out?
Properly bead set pave is secure, but any pave ring benefits from a check every year or two. Our lifetime pave and prong check covers this at no charge.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
