An elongated cushion cut lab grown diamond set over a pave hidden halo, on a wide flat band with no stones at all. The contrast is deliberate. All the fine work sits under the stone where it is only seen in profile, and the band below it is left completely plain and given more width than a usual solitaire shank, so the ring reads as a solid piece of metal carrying one large diamond rather than as a stone perched on a wire.

Band details

The shank is wider and flatter than a standard solitaire band, with a softly domed outer face and a comfort rounded inside edge. There are no stones on the band. The extra width balances the size of the centre stone and makes the ring sit steady on the finger without spinning.

Metal options

Choose 925 sterling silver with rhodium plating, or solid 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Each ring is made in one metal throughout as standard. The photographs show a two tone version with a rhodium finished head on a yellow gold band, which we will make at no extra cost if you ask for it. Yellow gold gives the strongest contrast against the stone. White gold keeps everything colourless. Rose gold is the warmest. Every metal is hallmarked and every carat weight is available in every metal.

Yes. A lab grown diamond is chemically, physically and optically identical to a mined diamond and is graded on the same scale by the same laboratories.

Can I have the two tone version shown in the photographs
Yes. Choose the metal you want for the band at checkout and tell us in the order notes that you would like a white head. There is no additional charge.

What does a hidden halo do on a cushion cut
It lifts the stone and adds a line of light beneath the girdle. On a cushion, which already has a deep rounded profile, it stops the stone looking heavy from the side.

Is a wide band comfortable
Yes, when the inside edge is rounded, which ours is. A wider band distributes pressure more evenly and many people find it more comfortable than a thin one.

Can I wear a wedding band beside it
Yes, though with a wide shank most people wear a slim band alongside so the pair does not overwhelm the finger. We can make one to match the profile.

How long does it take to make
