An elongated cushion cut lab grown diamond in four claws above a hidden halo, on a band with no stones set into it anywhere. Looked at face down this is as plain as a solitaire gets. A single cushion, four claws, a slim polished shank and nothing else. Turn it over and a full collar of small diamonds appears beneath the girdle, shaped as a cushion to match the stone above it rather than tucked underneath as a generic oval. The elongated outline is longer than it is wide, which softens the compact squareness of a standard cushion and covers more of the finger. E colour, VVS2 clarity throughout, free IGI certificate for the centre stone. Made to order in Surat in ten metals and four carat weights.

Band details

A slim plain band of even width, polished and unbroken the whole way round, with no pave, engraving or milgrain. It sits flush against a straight wedding band.

With a plain shank the metal is most of what shows, so colour changes this ring more than it would a stone covered design. Frequently asked questions

What is a hidden halo?
A ring of small diamonds set around the underside of the centre stone, below the girdle. It is invisible from above and only appears from the side or underneath.

What is an elongated cushion?
A cushion cut whose length is noticeably greater than its width, so it looks longer on the finger than the compact square cushion most people picture. It keeps the softened corners and curved sides.

How is this different from your cushion halo ring?
That ring has a full visible halo around the stone and pave down the shoulders, so it reads much larger. This one hides its accent stones underneath and leaves the band completely plain.

Does a hidden halo make the diamond look larger?
Slightly, by widening the base of the setting, but its purpose is the side profile rather than face up size. For apparent size a visible halo does far more.

Are four claws enough for a large stone?
Yes on a cushion. The claws sit over the four rounded corners, which are the strongest points of the outline, and hold securely even at 5 carats.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.
