An elongated cushion cut lab grown diamond set lengthwise along the finger, held by four claws, with a hidden halo of pave set diamonds circling the collar underneath. This is the quiet version of the design. There is no pave on the band, no bridge detail, no accent stones anywhere except the hidden halo, and the shank is kept deliberately slim so the stone looks as wide as possible against it. An elongated cushion has the soft rounded corners of a classic cushion but a longer rectangular outline, which spreads the carat weight further across the finger and gives a softer edge than an emerald or radiant cut. Band details

A deliberately slim plain band running unbroken around the finger, with no pave, engraving or milgrain. Keeping the shank narrow is what makes the centre stone read as large. The only accent stones on the ring sit in the hidden halo beneath the cushion.

What is an elongated cushion cut?
A cushion cut with a longer rectangular outline rather than a square one. It keeps the rounded corners and brilliant faceting of a traditional cushion, but the extra length makes the stone look bigger for its weight and flatters the finger.

Why choose a slim band?
A narrow shank increases the contrast between band and stone, so the diamond appears larger. It is the simplest way to maximise the visual size of a centre stone without adding a halo.

What is a hidden halo?
A ring of small pave set diamonds around the collar beneath the centre stone, facing outward rather than upward. It is invisible from the front and appears only in profile or as the hand moves.

How does a cushion compare with a radiant cut?
Both are rectangular brilliants, but a cushion has soft rounded corners and larger facets that give broad flashes of light, while a radiant has cropped straight corners and finer, more scattered sparkle. A cushion reads softer and more antique.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.
