Elongated Cushion Cut Lab Grown Diamond Double Claw Ring with Hidden Halo on a Polished Band

An elongated cushion cut lab grown diamond held at each corner by a pair of fine claws rather than a single heavier one, lifted just clear of a polished band, with a hidden halo of pave set diamonds circling the collar underneath. Eight claws in four tight pairs grip a long cushion more evenly than four singles and keep the soft corners covered without hiding any more of the stone than is necessary. From directly above the ring reads as a clean solitaire, the pairs registering only as fine double lines at the corners. Turn it and a continuous row of small round diamonds appears beneath the girdle, throwing light back up into the stone. The band itself carries no stones at all, just a bright polished face that runs unbroken around the finger. E colour, VVS2 clarity, free IGI certificate. Band details

A slim band with a flat polished outer face, running unbroken around the finger with no pave, engraving or milgrain. The only accent stones sit in the hidden halo beneath the centre stone.

Yellow and rose gold pick out the paired claws as clear double lines at each corner and warm the row of stones below. White gold and sterling silver let both the claws and the hidden halo drop away against the diamond so the stone appears barely held.

Frequently asked questions

What is a double claw setting?
Two slim claws sit side by side at each corner instead of one wider claw. Together they hold as much of the stone as a single heavy claw would, but split into two finer lines, so the setting looks more delicate while gripping a long cushion more securely at its corners.

What is an elongated cushion cut?
A cushion with a longer rectangular outline rather than a square one. It keeps the rounded corners and brilliant faceting of a classic cushion, but the extra length makes the stone look larger for its carat weight and flatters the finger.

What is a hidden halo?
A ring of small pave set diamonds around the collar beneath the centre stone, facing outward rather than upward. It cannot be seen from the front and shows only in profile or as the hand moves.

Do the paired claws catch on things?
Less than you would expect. Each claw is finer than a single claw would be and they sit low against the corners of the stone, so the profile stays close and there is little to snag.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.
