An elongated cushion cut lab grown diamond over a hidden halo, on a band bead set with pave. An elongated cushion is a cushion stretched along one axis, so it keeps the soft rounded corners that make the shape comfortable and forgiving while gaining the finger-lengthening effect of an oval. It is the shape to choose if you like a cushion but find the classic square version too compact. The hidden halo lifts the stone and adds a line of light beneath it, and the pave carries that sparkle down the shoulders. Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. A white metal keeps the pave and the hidden halo reading as one continuous run of light and emphasises the elongation. Yellow and rose gold outline each pave stone against warm metal, which makes the band busier and the shape more prominent than the length. For everyday wear 14K is harder than 18K and holds bead set pave better over the years.

What is an elongated cushion?
A cushion cut with a longer length to width ratio, so instead of reading as a rounded square it reads as a rounded rectangle. It keeps the soft corners and the crushed ice sparkle of a cushion while covering more of the finger lengthways.

Why choose a cushion over an oval?
Both elongate, but a cushion has flatter sides and rounded corners rather than a continuous curve, which gives it a slightly more antique character. Cushions also tend to show a chunkier, more scattered sparkle where ovals show longer flashes.

Do the rounded corners make it more durable?
Yes, meaningfully. Sharp corners are the most vulnerable points on a princess or emerald cut and need protective prongs. A cushion's corners are already rounded, so there is no fragile point to guard.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.

How do I clean a pave band?
Warm water, a drop of washing up liquid and a soft toothbrush around the beads, then rinse and pat dry. Avoid abrasive cleaners. We offer a lifetime bead and prong check.

How long does it take to make?
Production usually takes ten to fourteen working days, plus shipping time to your address.
