An oval cut lab grown diamond is turned on its side and set east west, so its length runs across the finger instead of along it. Six slim claws hold it low against the hand, and the band running away from the head carries alternating marquise and round accent diamonds set at intervals with polished metal between. Turning an oval sideways changes the ring completely. Instead of lengthening the finger it broadens the hand, which suits shorter fingers and gives a large stone somewhere to sit without overwhelming the knuckle.

Band details

The shank is a fine polished wire carrying an alternating station pattern of marquise and round accent diamonds. Each stone sits in its own claw setting with a short run of plain metal between, so the band keeps its delicacy and the eye travels along it rather than stopping at the head. The lower half of the shank is plain and rounded for comfort and easy resizing.

Metal options

Choose 925 sterling silver with rhodium plating, or solid 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Yellow gold gives the warm look shown in the photographs and outlines the sideways oval clearly against the skin. White gold, rhodium finished, makes the whole ring read as one line of light. Rose gold gives the softest version. Every metal is hallmarked and every carat weight is available in every metal.

Yes. A lab grown diamond is chemically, physically and optically identical to a mined diamond and is graded on the same scale by the same laboratories.

What does east west setting mean
The long axis of the stone runs across the finger rather than up and down it. It is still relatively uncommon, which is why it reads as a deliberate design choice rather than a default.

Who does an east west oval suit
It flatters shorter or wider fingers particularly well because it fills the width of the finger rather than trying to extend it. It also sits lower and catches less on clothing than a north south setting.
