An emerald cut lab grown diamond is set east west, lying across the finger so its long step facets run from side to side rather than up and down. Four slim claws grip the cropped corners and nothing else touches the stone, which leaves all four edges clean and open. The shank behind it carries a single row of micro pave diamonds that stops short of the head, so the eye reaches the centre stone without interruption. Turned sideways, an emerald cut fills the width of the finger and looks considerably wider than the same stone set the conventional way.

The open table and long facets make inclusions easier to see than in a brilliant cut. That is why we supply every emerald cut at VVS2 as standard rather than a lower grade.
