A cushion cut lab grown diamond in four claws on a band formed as two entwined vines, carved with leaves along their length and set with a round diamond on each shoulder where a leaf turns.

The vine is worked as two separate strands rather than one, and they cross under the head, separate along the shoulders and rejoin at the back of the finger. That construction is what gives the band its depth, because at any point around the ring one strand is in front of the other and the shadow between them reads as real space rather than surface engraving. The leaves are cut individually and lifted slightly away from the metal at the tip, which catches light on their edge and stops them looking pressed into the shank. Above all of that the cushion sits square in four plain claws. A cushion is the right centre stone for this design because its outline is soft and curved rather than sharp, so it agrees with the vines instead of arguing with them, which a step cut in the same setting would.

Band details

The shank is formed as two entwined vines that cross beneath the head and rejoin at the back, carved with individually cut leaves. The inner surface is smoothed and comfort rounded.

Choose 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Every metal is fully hallmarked. Rose gold is shown in the photographs, where the warm metal makes the carved leaves read most clearly.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behaviour as a mined diamond and is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

Are the leaves cast or carved
They are cast and then cut and lifted by hand, which is what gives the edges their sharpness and the slight variation between rings.

Will the entwined vines catch on clothing
The strands are burnished smooth and the leaf tips are turned inward rather than standing proud, so the ring runs smooth under a fingertip.

Why a cushion rather than a rectangular stone
The soft curved outline of a cushion sits naturally against organic metalwork. A sharp cornered stone tends to fight it.

Can this ring be resized
Within about a size. Beyond that we remake the shank so the carving stays continuous.

How long does the ring take to make
Each ring is made to order and hand finished, so allow sixteen to twenty working days before dispatch.
