A cushion cut lab grown diamond in four claws on a fine band that alternates individually set round diamonds with small polished metal beads.

The band is the interesting part. Instead of a continuous row of stones, or evenly spaced stones with plain bars between them, it runs in a repeating rhythm of diamond, bead, diamond, bead. The metal beads are turned up from the shank itself and burnished round, so they catch light in exactly the same way the diamonds do but at a warmer, softer intensity. On the hand the shoulder therefore reads as a run of alternating bright and soft points rather than a single texture, which is an old jewellery trick from before pave setting became mechanised, when metal was used to extend the effect of a small number of stones. It also keeps the ring light. There are only a handful of accent diamonds here, and the band still reads as busy and decorated, which is the whole economy of the design.

Band details

The band is fine and carries the alternating stone and bead pattern across the front, returning to plain polished metal at the back. The inside is comfort rounded.

Choose 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Every metal is fully hallmarked. White gold is shown in the photographs. The bead detail reads most strongly in yellow and rose gold, where the metal contrasts against the colourless stones.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behaviour as a mined diamond and is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

What are the metal beads for
They extend the visual rhythm of the band without adding more stones. Burnished metal catches light in a softer way, which gives the shoulder two levels of brightness rather than one.

Are the accent stones securely held
Yes. Each sits in its own small claw setting rather than sharing beads with its neighbours, so they are independent of each other.

Will the beads wear flat
They are burnished solid rather than raised and hollow, so they wear like any polished surface and can be repolished. We do this free of charge for life.

Can this ring be resized
Yes. The back of the band is plain.

How long does the ring take to make
Each ring is made to order. Allow fourteen to eighteen working days before dispatch.
