A cushion cut lab grown diamond over a concealed halo, on a wire band that tapers from a comfortable width at the back to almost nothing where it meets the head.

Tapering a shank is not decoration, it is a way of managing weight and proportion at the same time. At the back of the finger the band needs enough section to resist bending and to sit comfortably against the neighbouring fingers. At the front it needs to be as narrow as possible, because that is where it is seen next to the diamond and any excess metal there reduces the apparent size of the stone. Drawing the wire down gradually between those two points satisfies both, and the taper reads as a pair of fine lines converging on the head. Above it the concealed halo runs round the inside of the basket wall, invisible from above and appearing in profile as a bright band under the girdle, which is the only ornament on the ring.

Band details

The band is a round wire that tapers steadily from the back of the finger to the head. It carries no stones and the inside is comfort rounded.

Choose 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Every metal is fully hallmarked. Yellow gold is shown in the photographs, where the concealed halo shows clearly as a line of white light against the warm basket.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behaviour as a mined diamond and is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

Why does the band taper
So the shank is strong and comfortable at the back of the finger and as narrow as possible at the front, where a wide band would make the stone look smaller.

Can I see the concealed halo when wearing it
Whenever the hand turns. From directly above it is hidden under the cushion.

Does a tapered band sit well with a wedding ring
Yes. It is narrowest exactly where the wedding band meets it, so the two sit close together.

Can this ring be resized
Yes. The band carries no stones and the back is its widest section, which is the easiest place to work.

How long does the ring take to make
Each ring is made to order. Allow fourteen to eighteen working days before dispatch.
