Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond? Yes. A lab grown diamond has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. The only difference is that it is grown in a laboratory rather than extracted from the earth. It is graded by the same laboratories using the same criteria.

What color and clarity are the diamonds in this ring? The marquise center stone and both pear side stones are E color and VVS2 clarity, so all three read as one continuous colourless cluster.

Why pair pears with a marquise? Both are elongated brilliant cuts with a point, so they share the same faceting and the same pointed language. Turning the pears outward continues the line of the marquise instead of interrupting it, and the trio ends up reading as one wide shape.

Does a marquise look bigger than other cuts? Yes. A marquise has the largest surface area per carat of the common cuts, and with two pears beside it the face of this ring covers most of the width of the finger.
