A round brilliant lab grown diamond inside two rings of accent stones, the inner one set tight against the girdle and the outer one set in individual claws that radiate outward like the rays of a sun, on a fine plain band.

This is a cluster in the old sense of the word, and it is built the way clusters were built before pave setting made everything smooth. The inner row is close and quiet and does the job of enlarging the centre stone. The outer row is where the character comes from. Instead of a continuous band of stones, each one sits in its own raised claw collet with a visible gap of metal between it and its neighbour, and the collets step slightly outward and downward so the row flares rather than lying flat. That produces the pointed silhouette that gives the style its name, and it means the outer stones catch light at a different angle from the inner ones, so the two halos flash separately rather than together. On the hand the effect is a small radiant disc rather than a single stone, and a two carat centre reads far larger than its weight.

Band details

It has more surfaces than a plain setting. Warm water, a drop of washing up liquid and a soft brush handles it, and we clean and check it free of charge whenever you send it in.

Each ring is made to order. Individually collet setting the outer row is slow, so allow sixteen to twenty working days before dispatch.
