A round brilliant lab grown diamond held by claws shaped as curling leaves, on a band that splits into two thin vines and twists around itself before rejoining under the finger. A small diamond is set where the vines cross. It is a nature inspired setting built around the most conventional diamond shape there is, and the contrast is the point. The stone is entirely classical. Everything holding it is not.

Band details

The shank splits into two fine vines that twist past each other below the setting and rejoin at the back of the finger. The gaps between them are open, so light passes through the band as well as the stone. Every piece is finished by hand and the twist sits slightly differently on each ring.

Metal options

Choose 925 sterling silver with rhodium plating, or solid 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Rose gold gives the warm coppery finish shown in the photographs and suits a vine design better than any other metal. Yellow gold looks closer to antique goldwork. White gold, rhodium finished, turns the twist into something colder and more sculptural. Every metal is hallmarked and every carat weight is available in every metal.

Is the centre stone a real diamond
Yes. A lab grown diamond is chemically, physically and optically identical to a mined diamond and is graded on the same scale by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the centre stone is included at no extra cost with every order.

Is a split vine band as strong as a solid one
Yes, when it is made properly. Two thinner sections carrying the load together are as strong as one thicker one, and we increase the section where the vines meet the setting.

Do the leaf claws hold the stone as securely as normal claws
Yes. They are ordinary claws with the visible outside surface shaped and textured as a leaf. The grip on the stone is unchanged.

Is the open band harder to clean
It is actually easier than a solid pave band, because there is nowhere for dirt to sit trapped. We clean and polish free of charge for life.

Can I wear a wedding band beside it
A matching vine band sits best and we make one to order. A straight plain band will leave small gaps where the vines curve.

How long does it take to make
Made to order rings usually leave our workshop within 12 to 16 working days because of the hand finishing. We confirm the date by email once your size is set.
