Three round brilliant lab grown diamonds set in a row, carried on a band made of two strands that twist around each other. One strand is left plain and polished, the other is pave set with small diamonds, and the two wind together down both shoulders so that gold and diamond alternate as the band turns. It is a rope or vine effect rather than a straight shank, and it changes the character of what is otherwise a very classical arrangement. A trilogy on a plain band is a formal, symmetrical design. The same three stones on a twisting two strand band become something softer and more organic, with movement running from the shoulders into the head. Metal options

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. The twist works by contrast between the plain strand and the pave one, so the metal colour decides how strong that contrast is. Yellow and rose gold make the two strands clearly distinct as they wind, white gold blends them into a single shimmering rope. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and better protects two fine strands and their pave.

Frequently asked questions

What does a trilogy ring represent?
The three stones are traditionally read as past, present and future, which is why the style is chosen so often for engagements and milestone anniversaries.

What is a twisted band?
A shank made of two separate strands that wind around each other rather than a single solid piece. Here one strand is plain polished gold and the other is pave set, so diamond and metal alternate as the band turns.

Does the twist make the ring less comfortable?
No. The strands are joined and finished smooth on the inside, so what you feel against the finger is a normal rounded shank. The twist is on the outer face only.

How are the three stones proportioned?
The carat option you choose applies to the centre stone, and the two side stones are matched to it so the row stays balanced, typically at around a third of the centre weight each.

Will a wedding band sit flush?
Not completely, because the twisting strands and their pave stand proud of a flat shank. A contoured band solves this and we can shape one to follow the twist.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
