Round Cut Lab Grown Diamond Trilogy Ring in Trellis Setting

Three round brilliant lab grown diamonds set in a row, a larger centre stone flanked by two smaller ones, held in a trellis setting on a plain polished band. A trellis is a way of building the head rather than a decoration added to it. The claws sweep up from the shank and cross over one another between the stones instead of rising as separate posts, so the three diamonds are held in a single woven structure and the gallery beneath reads as an interlaced lattice rather than three separate baskets. It is more work to make than a standard three stone head, and it is the reason the stones can sit close together with very little metal showing between them. The band is left plain so nothing competes. E colour, VVS2 clarity throughout, free IGI certificate for the centre stone. Made to order in Surat in ten metals and four carat weights.

Metal options

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. The trellis is pure metalwork, so it reads most clearly in yellow or rose gold where the crossing arms show as distinct woven lines between the stones. White gold makes the structure recede so the three diamonds read as one continuous row. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and keeps crossing claw arms rigid.

What is a trellis setting?
