There is nothing to hide behind in a ring like this, which is exactly why the details that usually go unmentioned decide whether it looks right. The claws are drawn out fine and rounded at the tips rather than left as blunt stubs, so they read as four small points of light instead of four lumps of metal on the stone. The basket is open underneath so light enters the pavilion from below as well as through the table, which is what keeps a round brilliant lively rather than grey. The band is kept narrow, because a wide band next to a round stone makes the stone look smaller, and it stays the same width all the way round rather than tapering, so the ring sits square on the finger and never rotates. A round brilliant is the only cut with a fixed ideal geometry that can be measured, and cut grade matters more to how it looks than carat weight does, which is why this one is cut and polished to excellent.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behaviour as a mined diamond and is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

Four claws or six claws
Four claws show more of the outline of the stone and look cleaner. Six hold marginally more securely and make a round stone look slightly smaller. We supply four unless you ask for six.

Why does cut grade matter so much on a round
A round brilliant has a defined ideal geometry. Cut too deep or too shallow and light leaks out of the bottom instead of returning to the eye, and the stone looks dull whatever its colour grade.

Will a plain band scratch
Any polished metal picks up fine marks with wear. We repolish the ring free of charge for life.

Can this ring be resized
Yes, easily. There are no stones in the band.

How long does the ring take to make
Each ring is made to order. Allow twelve to sixteen working days before dispatch.
