A round brilliant lab grown diamond held in six claws, on a band pave set evenly along both shoulders. This is the most classical combination in the collection and it is included deliberately. Six claws is the standard for a round, because it spreads the holding pressure around a circular girdle and keeps the outline properly circular where four claws can make a round look faintly squared. The pave is uniform, bead set in a straight even line, and runs well down each shoulder before stopping. There is no hidden halo, no twist, no scatter and no unusual claw shape. Everything about it is the version people picture when they picture an engagement ring, executed properly rather than reinvented. Metal options

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. On a classic design the metal is the main way to make it personal. Yellow gold is the traditional choice, rose gold softens it, and white gold keeps the whole ring reading as diamond from the centre stone down through the pave. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and holds bead set pave more securely over the years.

Frequently asked questions

Why six claws instead of four?
Six spreads the holding pressure more evenly around a circular girdle and keeps the outline of the round looking properly circular. Four claws can make a round appear very slightly squared at the corners.

How far does the pave run?
Along both shoulders and a good way down each side of the shank before stopping, leaving the lower section plain. That keeps the ring resizable and puts no stones where the band presses against the palm.

Will pave stones fall out?
Properly bead set pave is secure, but any pave ring benefits from a check every year or two. Our lifetime pave and prong check covers this at no charge for as long as you own the ring.

Does this have a hidden halo?
No. This is a plain six claw head with no collar beneath the stone, which keeps the profile clean and the price lower than the hidden halo versions.

Will a wedding band sit flush?
Yes, reasonably. The lower shank is plain, so a flat band rests against it, though a shaped band pairs most neatly with the pave.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.
