A round brilliant lab grown diamond sits in four claws above shoulders set with substantial round accents held in shared prongs. These are not pave. Each accent is a properly sized stone gripped between two prongs that also hold its neighbour, so the shoulders carry real weight of diamond rather than only a scattering of sparkle.

Because so little metal sits between the accents, light reaches each one from the sides as well as from above. Band details

The shank carries the shared prong accents along its upper half and returns to plain polished metal at the back of the finger. Leaving the underside bare protects the accents from the wear that part of a ring takes and gives a jeweller plain metal to work with if the ring ever needs resizing.

Choose from 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Yellow gold outlines each accent so the row reads as distinct stones. Rose gold softens the whole band. White gold and sterling silver merge the accents into one unbroken ribbon of light running up to the centre stone. Every metal is finished by hand in our workshop.

What is a shared prong setting?
Each prong holds two neighbouring stones at once instead of every stone having its own four prongs. It uses far less metal, so more of each accent stays visible and the row looks brighter than a channel or bead set alternative.

How is this different from a pave band?
Pave uses very small stones held by tiny beads of metal. These accents are much larger, individually seated and gripped by proper prongs, so they read as real diamonds in their own right rather than as surface sparkle.

Does a round brilliant sparkle more than other cuts?
Yes. Its fifty seven facets are angled specifically to return light straight back to the eye, so no other shape sparkles as hard at the same carat weight.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. A lab grown diamond has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness, refractive index and fire as a mined diamond. The only difference is that it was grown in a controlled environment rather than pulled from the ground.

Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included with every order at no additional cost.

Will a wedding band sit flush?
The accents sit slightly proud of the shank so a straight band may leave a small gap. We can shape a contoured band that follows the line if you want them to sit tight together.

Which metal is best for daily wear?
14K and 18K gold are the most durable choices for a ring worn every day. 10K is harder still. Sterling silver is softer and suits gentler wear or a first ring.
