Pave sets identical small stones in a disciplined row, and everything about the effect depends on that regularity. Here the accents are different sizes, set at different heights on the shank and staggered off the centre line, some sitting close to a neighbour and others standing alone, so the shoulders read like light falling through leaves rather than a measured line. It takes considerably more setting work than a straight row, because each stone needs its own seat and claws rather than a shared bead. Metal options

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. The scattered effect depends on seeing gold between and around the stones, so the metal is part of the pattern rather than a background. Yellow and rose gold make the irregular spacing obvious, white gold softens it into a diffuse shimmer along the shoulders. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and holds individually set accents more securely.

Frequently asked questions

What are scattered accent stones?
Accent diamonds set in varying sizes at irregular intervals rather than in an even row. Each has its own claws instead of sharing beads with a neighbour, which is what allows the spacing to be uneven.

How is this different from pave?
Pave uses uniform small stones packed in a disciplined line. This uses mixed sizes with deliberate gaps, so the shoulders look organic and asymmetric rather than machined.

Is every ring identical?
The arrangement follows the same design each time, so rings match, but the effect is intentionally irregular rather than symmetrical left to right.

Why six claws instead of four?
Six spreads the holding pressure evenly around a circular girdle and keeps the outline of the round looking properly circular.

Will a wedding band sit flush?
Not completely, because the scattered stones stand proud of the shank at uneven points. A contoured band solves this and we can shape one to match.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
