A round brilliant lab grown diamond in four tapered claws, raised on a plain compass basket, above a shank that carries micropave across its top face and down both outer walls.

Most pave engagement rings set stones on the top of the band only. Seen from directly above they look identical to this ring, but turn the hand and the shoulder goes dark, because the sides are polished metal. Setting three faces changes what happens when the hand moves. The top row is what the wearer sees looking down. The two side rows are what everyone else sees, since a ring on a finger is nearly always viewed from an angle rather than from above. Wrapping the stones around the shank means there is no viewing position from which the band reads as plain, and the effect at the shoulder is a soft continuous shimmer rather than a single hard line. The trade off is that a three sided shank cannot be cut and resized through the front, which is why the back third is left as solid polished metal.

Band details

The shank is slim and slightly domed so the three rows sit on a curve rather than on flat faces. The inside is comfort rounded and the back third is left plain and polished.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behaviour as a mined diamond and is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

What is a three sided pave shank
A band with small diamonds set on the top surface and on both outer side walls, so the stones are visible from above and from either side.

Is three sided pave more fragile than ordinary pave
No, but the side rows sit closer to the point of contact when the hand grips something. We set them slightly below the metal edge and finish the beads heavily so the stones are protected.

Can this ring be resized
Yes, within a size or so. The back third of the shank is plain, and resizing is done there without touching the set rows.

Will the pave catch on clothing
The beads are burnished flush and the edges are polished, so the band runs smooth under a fingertip.

How long does the ring take to make
Each ring is made to order. Three rows of micropave add setting time, so allow fourteen to eighteen working days before dispatch.
