A round brilliant lab grown diamond in four claws on a band carved as a bare twig, with small buds and a single round accent diamond set where a shoot leaves the branch.

A twig band is harder to make convincing than a leaf band, because a twig has no symmetry to fall back on. The bark texture has to change along the length, the diameter has to swell and thin the way a real branch does, and the small side shoots have to leave the main stem at plausible angles rather than at regular intervals. All of that is worked by hand after casting, which is why no two rings in this design are quite identical. Above it sits the most regular object in jewellery, a round brilliant cut to measured ideal proportions, held in four plain claws that make no attempt to look organic. The contrast is the design. The single accent diamond set into one shoot reads as a bud rather than as a shoulder stone, which is why it is placed off centre rather than mirrored on both sides.

Band details

The shank is carved as a bare twig with hand worked bark texture, swelling and thinning along its length. The inside is smoothed and comfort rounded so only the outer surface is textured.

Metal options

Choose 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Every metal is fully hallmarked. White gold is shown in the photographs, where the bark texture reads as fine shadow against the polished head.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behaviour as a mined diamond and is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

Will the bark texture wear smooth
The high points soften slightly with years of wear, which most owners like. We can recut the texture during a service if you prefer it sharp.

Is a textured band comfortable
Yes. The carving is on the outside only and the inner surface is polished smooth.

Why is the accent stone on one side
Because a real shoot does not leave a branch symmetrically. Placing it off centre is what keeps the twig from looking manufactured.

Can this ring be resized
Within about a size without disturbing the carving. For larger changes we remake the shank.

How long does the ring take to make
Each ring is made to order and hand carved, so allow sixteen to twenty working days before dispatch.
